Splinter’s Log Splitter tool can split pieces of wood and logs up to 12 feet or even 20 ft long. The RSS Skidsteer models are mounted using a Skidsteer plate, the log splitter’s power comes from the hydraulically-driven motor mounting on a planetary drive, delivering a high amount of torque to the splitting head. The bit’s bite comes from machining two helical spirals machined into two pieces of steel. The two spirals join at the hardened tip for easy boring into the log. Driven on a 2” hex shaft or flange mount with an integrated shield that protects the drive from the rigors of splitting wood, the Log Splitter tool can tear into logs either horizontally or vertically.
Features may include:
HEAVY DUTY BUILDThe Splinter screw wood splitter features a heavy-duty encasement that locks into place for long-lasting durability.
PROTECTIVE POWDER COAT FINISHHeavy duty construction and a durable powder coated finish.
PLANETARY DRIVEPower comes from the Splinter’s hydraulically-driven planetary drive, delivering up to 3,800 ft/lbs of torque.
NO 12V ELECTRIC REQUIREDWith no extra electrical cables, connection is quick and easy.
MAIN SHAFT SEAL PROTECTIONThe Splinter’s flange protects the main shaft seal to prevent damage to the Splinter’s bearings from possible debris.
SPLITTING FORCEMuch higher splitting force than a cylinder splitter with the same amount of pressure.
ONE PERSON MANEUVERINGOne person can handle material without coming out of cab by drilling partially into the log and then carrying it to the desired location
HARDENED REPLACEABLE TIPThe Splinter’s entry tip if hardened for extra-long wear and replaceable for a longer life.
INTERNAL HOSE ROUTINGAll of the hydraulic hoses on the Splinter are routed internally where possible and sleeved for operator and hose protection while the connecting hoses are sleeved and wrapped in hose armor for double protection.
