2020 BaumaLight Planer - Skidsteer RSS380
Planer - SkidsteerRSS Skidsteer models have a Stump Planer tool that is designed to mount using a Skidsteer plate. The RSS model operates at a low RPM so that chips are contained during the operation with very little mess to clean up. Ideal for urban areas or confined spaces, the Stump Planer requires less power as it does not produce as fine material as a high speed cutting wheel. This enables larger stumps to be ground faster with smaller carriers, creating better mulch for other small trees. The Stump Planer tool features a hardened replaceable tip for extra-long wear and sharpenable cutting blades.
Features may include:
HEAVY DUTY BUILDThe Splinter screw wood splitter features a heavy-duty encasement that locks into place for long-lasting durability.
PROTECTIVE POWDER COAT FINISHHeavy duty construction and a durable powder coated finish.
PLANETARY DRIVEPower comes from the Splinter’s hydraulically-driven planetary drive, delivering up to 3,800 ft/lbs of torque.
NO 12V ELECTRIC REQUIREDWith no extra electrical cables, connection is quick and easy.
MAIN SHAFT SEAL PROTECTIONThe Splinter’s flange protects the main shaft seal to prevent damage to the Splinter’s bearings from possible debris.
NO FLYING CHIPSBecause the Splinter operates at a low RPM, chips are contained during operation with very little mess to clean up.
IDEAL FOR URBAN AREASThe planer is ideal for urban areas and confined spaces where keeping chips contained is critical.
LARGER CHIPSWith less power required to produce fine material, larger stumps can be ground faster with small carriers, creating mulch for other small trees.
HARDENED REPLACEABLE TIPThe Splinter’s entry tip if hardened for extra-long wear and replaceable for a longer life.
HEAVY DUTY SHARPENABLE BLADESThe smaller leading blade is made from AR500 steel and the larger clean up blade is made with AR400 steel. All cutting blades can be sharpened, lowering costs by not replacing blades as often.
