2020 Great Plains Velocity HS2100-26

The new Velocity is a hybrid tillage implement, designed to bury more residue than a true vertical tillage tool like the Turbo-Max®, but with shallow-concavity SpeedBlades™ on 7½" spacings. The Velocity runs faster than a disk harrow, and is designed to out-cut and out-finish competitive low-concavity, high-speed disks in the vertical tillage market.

Features may include:

• Change the depth of the entire machine from one central location.

• A six-lip seal on each side of gang bearings locks in grease and prevents contamination. Additionally, the walking beam pivots utilize coated bushings, eliminating the need for tapered bearings and grease in pivot points. Drop axles pivot on anti-rotational pins, requiring no maintenance.

• The Velocity utilizes low-concavity, serrated SpeedBlades to aggressively power through heavy residue, thoroughly mixing soil at higher speeds without ridging. Each blade is 22-inches in diameter and 1/4-inch thick to withstand tough soil conditions. Unlike other blades on the market, SpeedBlades turn 5% faster than smooth blades, are self-sharpening, and maintain their shape as they wear.

• Hydraulic fore-and-aft leveling simplifies field adjustments to create a smooth finish in any soil condition.

• The standard conditioner reel features heavy-duty 16" diameter reels with 1" rods that are designed to stand up to even the largest rocks while busting clods, leaving an excellent seedbed.

• Adjust manually on the 23', 26', and 30' models and hydraulically on 29', 33', and 36' models.
